About the Role:
Are you ready to play a key role in driving growth through creative and community-driven marketing? We’re looking for a proactive and strategic Marketing Specialist who can leverage local insights to develop scalable campaigns and drive customer acquisition. If you're passionate about crafting localized marketing strategies, executing digital campaigns, and engaging diverse communities, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and help optimize our current marketing efforts with data & local insights.

  • Build and execute a targeted media plan to drive customer growth.

  • Recommend and test scalable, measurable, high-impact growth tactics.

  • Create, review, or guide the development of localized creative assets, messaging, and community engagement tactics.

Job requirements

Key Requirements & Skills

  • Solid grasp of South Africa’s advertising landscape (online & offline an added advantage).

  • Experience with direct response and community-driven marketing.

  • Strong track record in content marketing, creative strategy, and digital campaign execution.

  • Deep understanding of local ZA acquisition platforms (targeting, copy, creatives, local influencers, etc.).

  • Background in B2C mobile apps is a plus.

  • Understanding of migrant communities and eKasi/Informal/Township Markets in South Africa is a plus.

Key Experience

  • Experience with developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns (digital, above-the-line, and below-the-line).

  • Background in working informally is highly desirable.

  • A portfolio of evidence showcasing successful execution of marketing strategy.
